Finding Used Bargains
I love finding a good deal, even used deals! There is something special about finding a well-loved item and fixing it up to make it my own. There are also plenty of times when people are getting rid of a perfectly good product, why not snag it for a low price! I am all about buying used before new where possible and practical. SO, here is where I shop to find my deals.
I love heading to the local yard sales, in fact, check out this table I just bought for $10. Yes, it is a mess right now, but I have plans for it. Maybe I will blog about the work I do to it in the future. Keep in mind that if you head to a yard sale first thing in the morning, you will have the best selection. If you shop the sales toward the end, you are going to get everything very cheap, maybe even free. I’ve had several people offer me things for free at the end of the day – like a baby gate I just got!
This is sort of like an online yard sale where people post their stuff for sale and you simply contact them to set up a meeting point for pickup. I’ve scored SO many great buys on Craigslist. In fact, I just bought this like BRAND New Basketball game for the boys and only paid $10!!!
Let Go App
I just found this Let Go App a few weeks ago, and haven’t used it a lot yet. I did manage to buy this rocker for just $10! Looks like a nice, easy way to find things for sale in your area and I am sure that it will be used by my family more often in the future. I might even give it a try to sell a few things!
Schoola is my go-to place for used clothing for my family. I love to shop their promotions and have always scored quality, brand-name clothing for a fraction of the cost. In fact, I bought this Limited skirt for Bailey just about a month ago and it cost me just $4 after sales and promotions were applied. I generally try and post their sale events, so watch the blog for that.
Another site that often has great promotions for used clothing is ThredUp. Right now, if you use my referral link, you can score a free $10 credit! They only accept high quality, brand-name clothing, so you can’t go wrong!
The one thing I loved about traveling was shopping all the different thrift stores in the country. In fact, just last week when we were in Mississippi I got to shop America’s Thrift Stores which is one of my favorites. Many times there are some really unique items at super low costs at thrift stores, it is just a matter of sifting through the stuff that isn’t so hot.
What are your favorite ways to find used bargains? I would love to hear about it.
